"JARVIS REVISITED" WORKSHOP

Shortly after I joined Toastmasters in 1977, I became acquainted with a gentleman by the name of Dr. Charles W. Jarvis. He had presented a keynote address at the Toastmasters International convention and several workshops on humor. He then won their coveted Golden Gavel Award for his exceptional ability to use humor to both teach and entertain. Today his talks are as funny and relevant as they were back then.

We began to correspond, exchanged letters on all aspects of humor and formed a friendship which inspired my "ON HUMOR" website. Dedicated to Dr. Jarvis and his love for the study of humor, "ON HUMOR" looks at the academic and practical sides of using humor in public speaking.

This coupled with 30 years of Toastmasters, listening to many speakers using, or trying to use, humor, gave me a unique insight into the difficult yet rewarding challenge of using humor effectively.

The "Jarvis Revisited" Workshop, actually one hour of personal training, is an intense review of both academic and practical knowledge for individuals serious about learning the art of using humor in public speaking. I've learned a lot of important pointers that will put you on track to successfully using humor. I enjoy working with people who are really serious about developing this skill and will tailor our time together to meet your needs.

Give me a call this evening at (217) 352-3840 and we can talk; leave your number if I'm out. I look forward to working with you on this most enjoyable and valuable career skill!
