Hi Tony. The crew who were on when we began our trip in Tortolla on Apr 21/84 were Doug Antwright and Lincoln McGuire. Dan Krachuk & Greg Buechner started crewing the day we bagan our trip. The passengers were myself, Guy Desrosiers, Beth Stewart, Gary Robertson, Arlene and her daughter Debbie De Bartolo and Bob Youngstrom. Mac Coombs joined us as a crew member about a week into the trip. He stayed on until they arrived in Quebec City and then he left the ship while they were in Q.C.
It was a trip of a life time and the passengers and crew all seemed to get along so well. In fact, when Doug left the ship in Q.C and went back home to Ohio, I met him there and we drove to Edmonton, Alberta. On the way we stopped to see some folks in Algoma, Wisconsin who had been passengers on the ship a few weeks prior to my trip in April. You could imagine the shock on their faces when Doug and I arrived on their door step for a visit! Greg Buechner lived in the same town and they called him over saying it was an "emergency". When he saw both of us it was great. We spent the entire evening telling romance stories and talking about how skipper would keep them in line and oh yes, those pancakes he would make every morning! I could go on and on but I'm sure you hear this from every ex-Romance person!
